French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    12 slices day-old bread
    1 1/2 c. fine cornflake crumbs
    favorite syrup or fruit sauce
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients in bowl; beat slightly.
    Dip bread slices into egg mixture quickly.
    Drain and coat both sides with cornflake crumbs.
    Place on buttered 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pans or cookie sheets.
    Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 5 to 6 minutes. Turn slices and bake until hot, crisp and browned, 6 to 8 minutes. Serve hot with favorite syrup or fruit sauce.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
