Irish Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. strong tea
    1 lb. raisins
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 lb. butter or 1 stick margarine
    1 c. applesauce
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Simmer raisins in 1 cup of tea for 15 minutes in covered pot. Add sugars, applesauce and butter until melted.
    Let it cool.
    Add 2 well beaten eggs.
    Sift flour and all dry ingredients.
    Mix well and add to mixture.
    Grease a tube pan and sprinkle with flour. Shake out excess.
    Cook for 2 hours at 325\u00b0 covered with foil.
