Chuck Hines' Baked Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (46 oz.) cans pork and beans
1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
12 oz. pkg. bacon
2 1/2 c. chopped onions
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
3/4 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. liquid smoke
3 c. barbecue sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Wash and drain beans.
Cook bacon in skillet until crisp and drain well, reserving 1/4 cup bacon fat.
Saute veggies in reserved fat until tender.
Add chuck and brown slightly.
Stir in liquid smoke and barbecue sauce.
Mix well with beans and pour into baking pan.
Bake 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
Best ever, a meal in itself.
