Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream sugar and butter; add beaten egg yolks.
Add potatoes, vanilla and nutmeg.
Whip egg whites and add to mixture.
Bake in pie shell at 325\u00b0 for approximately 45 minutes or until done in center.
Test with a toothpick.
