Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. apples, peeled and diced (McIntosh or Winesap are best)
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. flour (unsifted)
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. oil
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, put the apples.
    Put the sugars over apples; mix and let stand.
    In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
    In another small bowl, stir together the eggs, oil, vanilla and chopped nuts.
    Pour egg mixture and flour mixture over apples; mix with wooden spoon until well blended.
    Pour into well-greased and floured angel food pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
    (I prefer margarine to \"grease\" the pan, and I use a mixture of some sugar and cinnamon, instead, to \"flour\" the pan.)
