Double-Quick Dinner Buns - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. warm water (not hot)
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. flour
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water in deep bowl; add sugar, salt and about half of flour.
Beat thoroughly two minutes.
Add egg and shortening and beat in remaining flour.
Let rise in bowl in warm place about 50 minutes.
Stir batter down and place in greased muffin pans.
Let rise 30 minutes and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 425\u00b0.
Makes 12.
