Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
5 eggs, separated
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. coconut
1 c. pecans
Preparation

Beat margarine, oil and sugar until creamy.
Add egg yolks, one at a time; mix well.
Sift flour and soda together.
Alternately add buttermilk.
Add vanilla, coconut and chopped nuts.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Grease and flour three 9-inch pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
When cool, frost with cream cheese frosting. Freezes well.
