Corn Pone Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/3 c. onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. canned tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans
    1/2 c. corn meal
    1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
Preparation
    Combine meat, onions, sugar
    and chili powder and saute until meat changes color.
    Add
    tomatoes and pintos and simmer for 15 minutes.
    While
    this cooks, mix cornbread:
    corn meal, flour, sugar, salt, baking
    powder, egg, milk and cooking oil. Mix well. Put meat mixture
    in
    a greased casserole, then put cornbread over and cook at 425\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
