Ingredients

6 medium onions, sliced
4 Tbsp. butter
2 cans beef consomme
2 cans water
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 piece toast for each bowl (with crust cut off)
4 pieces Provolone cheese
Preparation

In large covered saucepan, cook onions in butter over low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Then add beef consomme and water until it boils.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Place toast in each bowl and then pour hot soup over toast.
Lay cheese across top of bowl and place in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 5 minutes.
