Fruity Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 (6 oz.) cans unsweetened pineapple juice
    1 (7.5 oz.) bottle frozen lemon juice
    1 (6 oz.) concentrated frozen orange juice
    1 (2-liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled
Preparation
    Combine 2 cups of the water and 1 1/2 cups sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes.
    Cool, then stir in 6 cups water and fruit juices. Freeze 8 hours (at least), stirring twice during freezing process.
    Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving, breaking into small pieces. Stir in ginger ale and serve. Makes 5 quarts.
