Angel Food Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    2 c. sweet milk
    2/3 c. cold water
    1 1/2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
    6 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    1 angel food cake
Preparation
    Mix egg yolks, sugar and lemon juice; cook until custard consistency.
    Add milk; then dissolve gelatin in cold water and add to custard.
    Beat egg whites and 1 cup sugar until stiff. Fold into custard.
    Break up angel food cake into chunks and fill buttered glass dish with a layer of cake, then a layer of custard alternating until all is used.
    Chill overnight.
    Cut in squares and serve topped with whipped cream.
