Homemade Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. scalded milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. warm water
    2 pkg. yeast
    6 c. flour
Preparation
    Scald milk. Add sugar, salt and shortening. Set aside. Dissolve yeast in water. Stir in milk mixture. Add 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Add other 3 cups of flour. Turn dough out on floured board. Knead. Place in greased bowl; brush with melted shortening. Cover with clean towel; let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 35 minutes. Punch down and divide in 2 parts. Shape into loaves and place in greased bread pans. Cover. Let rise until double. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for about 50 minutes or until golden brown.
