Ingredients

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Mix flour, soda and salt; set aside.
In large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
Add chips and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes, just until edges turn brown.
Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes.
Remove and cool completely.
