Mexican Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
4 c. peeled and chopped apples (Golden Delicious apples; about 1 1/2 lb.)
2 tsp. cinnamon
10 (6-inch) flour tortillas
whipped cream or Cool Whip
ground cinnamon (optional)
2 c. water
Preparation

Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted.
Set aside. Place butter in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Set aside. Combine apples and 2 teaspoons cinnamon, stirring to coat.
Place about 1/2 cup apple mixture down center of each tortilla.
Roll up and place, seam side down, in baking dish.
Pour sugar mixture over top of tortillas and cover with foil. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 25 to 30 minutes longer.
Let stand 10 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream sprinkled with additional cinnamon, if desired.
