Sweet Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. fresh corn kernels
    pinch of salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    oil (for fryer)
Preparation
    In a medium bowl, beat together egg and milk.
    Add flour and mix well.
    Stir in corn kernels and salt.
    Just before cooking, add baking powder.
    Heat about 1 1/2 inches of oil in a deep fryer or frying pan.
    Drop batter by spoonfuls into oil and fry on both sides just until crisp and golden, about 1 minute.
    Drain on paper towel and serve immediately.
    Makes about 14 fritters.
