Easy Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. thin-sliced cucumbers
    2 c. thin-sliced onions
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground turmeric
Preparation
    In large jar, alternately layer the sliced cucumbers and onions. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, celery seed, salt, mustard seed and turmeric.
    Bring to a boil, stirring just until the sugar is dissolved. Pour over the cucumbers and onions. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 24 hours before using.
    Stores for several months.
    Makes up to seven cups, really crispy and delicious.
