Herring Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small bottle capers (optional)
    3 salt herrings
    6 boiled potatoes
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    2 dill pickles
    2 apples
    3 celery stalks
    1 onion, chopped
Preparation
    Soak herrings overnight, then bone and skin them.
    Cut herring in small pieces.
    Cut all vegetables into cubes.
    Pour vinegar over entire mixture.
    Best made a day before use.
