Mrs. Childress' Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck tomatoes
    2 level c. chopped onion
    2 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1/4 c. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. red pepper
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 1/4 qt. white vinegar
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cut up tomatoes and mix with onion and bell pepper.
    Add all spices and mix.
    Add vinegar and sugar.
    Boil 1 1/2 hours or until sort of thick.
    Put into jars and seal.
    Makes several pints.
