Baked Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large baking potatoes, baked and cooled
    2/3 c. butter
    2/3 c. flour
    6 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion (green)
    12 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    8 oz. Cheddar cheese
    8 oz. sour cream
Preparation
    Mix butter in large saucepan. Add flour and whisk until smooth. Slowly add milk and cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Scoop pulp out of potatoes and mash slightly. Add to thickened milk along with salt, pepper, 1 1/2 cups cheese, 2 tablespoons green onion and 10 slices bacon. Cook until cheese melts. Stir in sour cream and thin if necessary with more milk. Pour into individual bowls. Top with remaining bacon and onion.
