Smothered Venison Cubes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. venison cubes
    fat for browning
    1/2 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. grated Cheddar cheese
    flour for dredging
    2 medium onions, quartered
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Remove any visible fat from meat.
    Cut into 1-inch cubes. Dredge cubes in flour and brown in hot fat.
    Add onions and brown lightly.
    Thin the sour cream by adding the water slowly, stirring until smooth cream is formed.
    Add cheese, salt and pepper.
    Cover the browned meat cubes with sour cream mixture.
    Simmer until tender, about 2 hours.
    Add more water, if necessary.
    Serve on rice or noodles.
