Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. white syrup
    1 to 2 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix together sugar, white syrup and water.
    Place over flame and boil together for 5 minutes.
    Add the peanuts and continue cooking until mixture is brown.
    Add vanilla and the butter. Remove from heat and add baking soda.
    Stir slightly and pour immediately into a large flat pan; cool.
