Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white syrup
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 heaping tsp. soda and vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil
    the
    sugar,
    syrup, water and salt together until mixture reaches soft ball (238\u00b0).
    Add raw peanuts and butter. Boil,
    while
    stirring, until peanuts are done and are a light tan color.
    Add
    the
    soda
    and
    vanilla
    and stir until well mixed. Pour
    out
    on
    2
    greased cookie sheets.
    As it cools, pull
    out the
    edges\tto make it thin.
    After it cools, break into pieces.
