2 Hour Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 cakes Fleischmann's yeast
    6 c. flour, sifted
    4 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Scald milk, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm.
    Crumble in yeast and stir until dissolved. Add 3 cups flour and beat until perfectly smooth.
    Add melted shortening and the remaining flour (or enough flour to make an easily handled dough).
    Knead well. Place dough in greased bowl. Cover and set in warm place, free from draft.
    Let rise until double in bulk, about 1 hour.
    Shape into rolls and place in well-greased pans. Cover and let rise until light, about 45 minutes.
    Bake in hot oven at 425\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
    Makes 3 dozen rolls.
