Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. nonfat dry milk
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1/2 c. mashed bananas
    1/2 c. nuts, optional
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and milk; set aside. Blend together shortening and sugar. Add egg; beat hard. Stir in about half of the flour mixture, then stir in bananas. Add rest of flour and mix well. Spread batter evenly into a 8 inch square or loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Double recipe for tube pan and bake for 50 to 55 minutes.
