Coconut Oatmeal Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. soft shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. lemon extract
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 c. flaked or shredded coconut
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. each: soda, salt and baking powder
Preparation
    Combine sugar, shortening, eggs and flavoring in bowl and beat until fluffy.
    Stir in rolled oats and coconut.
    Add flour, salt and baking powder.
    Mix well.
    Drop the stiff dough on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
    Makes about 3 dozen crisp cookies.
