Amish Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dates
    2 c. hot water
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 pkg. instant butter pecan pudding
    8 c. milk
    1 large or 2 small containers Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix the dates, hot water and soda.
    Add the sugar, flour, eggs and butter.
    Combine and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes, then cool.
