Date And Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. chopped dates
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
4 Tbsp. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 well beaten eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
-
Mix the first 4 ingredients; let cool.
Mix all together. Grease and flour 5 tin cans; fill half full.
Bake for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
Cool, slice and serve with whipped topping.
Freeze and serve later, also.
