Crackling Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. cracklings
3 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1 1/4 tsp. soda
1/3 or 1/2 c. water (enough to make soft batter)
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients, then add the milk and cracklings.
Shape into small, long rolls and place on a baking sheet or pour batter into a 9 x 9-inch square pan.
Bake rolls 20 minutes in a 425\u00b0 oven or bake in square pan in a 450\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
