Lynne'S Popular Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. butter
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    5 eggs, beaten
    3 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 to 1 c. chopped black walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream together the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat until smooth.
    Gradually add flour and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
