Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bell pepper
    2 c. rice, uncooked
    spices: salt, pepper, garlic and oregano
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 small can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Saute onion and bell pepper in oil.
    Add rice and tomato sauce.
    Add water, enough to cover rice, about an inch.
    Add seasonings to taste.
    Stir well and bring to a boil.
    Leave uncovered and cook until liquid is almost gone.
    Lower heat for the last few minutes to dry out the rice.
    Be careful not to burn it.
    Serves 4.
