Pecan And Date Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
    4 eggs
    3/4 to 1 stick butter
    3/4 c. pecans
    1 c. dates, diced
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    baked shell
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except shell in double boiler.
    Cook until thickened.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Refrigerate. Garnish with whipped topping and whole pecans on top of each wedge.
