New Jersey Barbecue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large fresh pork shoulder or ham
    1 pt. vinegar
    4 tsp. red pepper
    1 pt. water
    garlic powder
    salt
Preparation
    Score meat in 4 or 5 places.
    Sprinkle garlic powder and salt all over.
    Add pepper.
    Place in roaster with half of the water and vinegar.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 in oven, basting often with remaining vinegar and water, until tender.
    Remove from pan and cool.
    Chop or grind up.
    Place in frypan and add vinegar and water mixture and pepper.
    Steam over low heat until seasons through to taste.
