Layered Hamburger Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
4 to 5 potatoes, sliced thin
2 carrots, sliced
1/2 c. frozen peas
1 (11.5 oz.) can V-8 juice
4 slices American cheese
Preparation

Brown and drain beef.
Saute onion.
Combine meat with onion and season with salt and pepper.
Spray covered baking dish with Pam.
Place potato slices in bottom of dish.
On top of them, add a layer of carrots and then a layer of peas.
Top it off with the browned meat and onions.
Pour the can of V-8 over the casserole. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0 with lid on.
When done, arrange the cheese slices across the top and allow to set for 10 minutes, covered, for juices to absorb and cheese to melt.
