Oven Barbecued Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 3 lb. rump roast
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 large onions
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 stalks celery
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 c. catsup
    1/2 tsp. each: basil, oregano, cinnamon, salt and liquid smoke
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    In 6-quart Dutch oven, brown meat in salad oil over medium heat.
    Remove from oven and set aside.
    Reduce heat to medium-low. Add onion, pepper, celery and garlic.
    Mix spices into catsup. Add tomatoes, vinegar, brown sugar and chili powder.
    Mix well. Return meat to pan.
    Spoon some sauce over top.
    Cover and bake in 325\u00b0 oven about 3 hours.
