Baked Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. minced onion
2 1/2 Tbsp. margarine, divided
1 1/2 c. chicken broth or 1 1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon, dissolved in 1 1/2 c. water
1/2 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1 c. rice (not Minute rice)
3 sprigs parsley
1 sprig fresh thyme or 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
Preparation

Saute onion and garlic in half of the margarine until onion is translucent.
Add rice and stir over low heat until rice is coated.
Stir in broth.
Add parsley, thyme and bay leaf.
Cover and bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 17 minutes or until rice is fluffy.
Discard herbs and stir in remaining margarine.
