Old Time Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. molasses
3/4 c. vegetable shortening (at room temperature)
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Preparation

Beat eggs; beat in sugar, molasses and shortening.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately to egg mixture with the milk.
Pour into large black skillet and bake at 300\u00b0 until done or pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan that has been greased and floured and bake approximately 45 minutes or until tests done.
