Old South Oatmeal Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. quick oatmeal
    2 c. milk, scalded
    3 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. oleo or butter, melted
    1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Put oats in bowl; add milk. Stir and let cool. Beat egg yolks, butter and oat mixture.
    Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking powder together and add to oat mixture.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. If too thick, add a little milk.
    Pour onto hot griddle by spoonfuls.
