Zucchini Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. peeled ground zucchini
    4 onions
    1 green pepper
    1 red pepper
    1/2 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Grind onions and peppers to make 3 cups.
    Add to ground zucchini.
    Cover with ice water and salt; let stand 1 hour. Combine sugar, vinegar, water, celery seed and turmeric in saucepan and boil 3 minutes for syrup.
    Drain zucchini mixture and rinse under running cold water; drain.
    Add to syrup mixture and cook 15 minutes.
    Put into jars while hot and seal.
    Very good on hamburgers and hot dogs.
