Ingredients

1 1/3 cup hazelnuts, skinned and toasted
1 cup whole blanched almonds, toasted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed almond paste
1/2 cup packed, chopped candied lemon peel
1/2 cup packed candied orange peel
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2 large egg whites
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Preparation

Process hazelnuts, almonds, granulated sugar, almond paste, lemon and orange peel, cinnamon and salt in a food processor until finely ground. Add egg whites and process, pulsing until dough begins to clump and come together, about 30 seconds.
