Icy Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. canned pumpkin
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream
    1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
    whipped cream
    chocolate shavings or sprinkles
Preparation
    Mix pumpkin, sugar, spices and ice cream until ice cream is softened.
    Pile into pastry shell and freeze at least 4 hours. Top with whipped cream when serving.
    Chocolate shavings or sprinkles make it more appealing to some children.
