Guess And By Gosh Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Simmer raisins until tender.
    Drain off liquid into cup, draining enough liquid to make 1 cup (cool).
    Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
    Mix wet ingredients and beat until fluffy. Gradually stir in dry mixture and raisin juice.
    Fold in raisins and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
