Date Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates
    2 pkg. pitted dates, pulled apart (but whole)
    1 lb. nuts (3 halves or chopped)
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 whole eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients.
    Sift over fruit and nuts in large bowl.
    In a separate bowl, beat the 4 eggs and add vanilla.
    Pour over ingredients in a loaf pan.
    Bake 1 hour at 250\u00b0 (slow oven). May take longer.
    (Grease loaf pan with Crisco, line with wax paper and grease paper also.)
