New England Boiled Dinner - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 5 lb. corned beef brisket
8 to 12 potatoes (may be cut in halves)
4 to 6 onions
6 carrots, cut in half
1 medium head cabbage, cut into wedges
2 turnips, quartered (optional)
Preparation

Cover beef with water in large pot.
Cook, covered, for 2 to 3 hours.
Pour off water.
Cover with fresh water.
Bring to boil. Add potatoes, turnips, carrots and onions.
Simmer 30 minutes.
Add cabbage.
Cook until tender.
Arrange meat and vegetables on large serving platter.
Serve with broth or mustard and horseradish.
