Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 sq. Baker's chocolate
1 3/4 c. milk
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. white sugar
butter (size of egg)
1/2 lb. English walnuts
Preparation
-
Melt
chocolate over steaming kettle.
Add 1/3 of milk. Stir well,
adding
1/3\tor so of sugar.
Add another 1/3 milk and 1/3 sugar;
stir.
Add balance of milk and sugar.
Stir 5 minutes. Add
the salt and stir.
Place on slow fire and stir until sugar is\tdissolved.
Let boil to soft stage.
Take off the fire.
Add butter and vanilla.
Let stand half hour.
Then place in
cooler place
for 1 hour or so.
Finally place outdoors
to
thoroughly cool.
Add\twalnuts
and
work until it begins to set.
Put in buttered pans.
