Cake Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. fruit or 1 (No. 303) can
    sugar and spices to desired taste
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add sugar and spices to fruit.
    Pour into a 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
    Spread over fruit the flour, sugar, baking powder, oil, milk, egg and vanilla.
    Put brown sugar and butter on top. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until brown, about 40 minutes.
