Marshmallows - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    3 egg whites
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water in large bowl.
    Cook sugar and water mixture until it reaches hard ball stage.
    Pour mixture over gelatin and beat with electric mixer for 5 to 7 minutes.
    While this is beating, beat egg whites very stiff.
    Add color to half of mixture; put white in bottom of the pan and colored on top.
    Set in fridge for 2 to 4 hours.
    Empty pan onto damp cloth; cut into squares and roll in coconut, walnuts or graham cracker crumbs.
