Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. warm water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening or margarine
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water with 2 tablespoons sugar.
    Add shortening or margarine, salt, 1 tablespoon sugar and flour.
    Mix well.
    Pour out on floured board and knead a few times, then cut out and place in a pan.
    Grease top and let rise in a warm place until double in size, about one-half to 2 hours.
    Bake in moderately hot oven or until brown.
    Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
