Fruit Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Add eggs to sugar and shortening mixture after creamed together.
    Add milk and flour alternately.
    Put 1/2 batter in bottom of 9 x 12-inch cake pan.
    Cover with fruit.
    Cover with remaining batter.
    Any kind of fruit may be used.
    Serve warm with milk and sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 55 minutes.
