Red Cabbage And Cranberries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head red cabbage, chopped to make 8 c.
    1 3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    3 slices fried crisp bacon, crumbled (save grease)
    1 c. water
    4 Tbsp. lemon juice
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    link sausages
Preparation
    Combine last 4 ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Add cabbage, bacon, bacon grease and vegetables to liquid mixture and simmer 8 minutes.
    Add 2 cups whole cranberries.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    When serving, add enough cooked link sausages for 12 people.
