Gooey Almond Cake - cooking recipe

3/4 c. melted margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
pinch of salt
2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. slivered almonds
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Line an 8 or 9-inch round cake pan with aluminum foil.
Combine melted margarine and sugar in large mixing bowl.
Beat in the eggs one at a time.
Add pinch of salt, almond extract and vanilla.
Stir in flour until ingredients are well blended.
Pour batter into the foil-lined pan.
Sprinkle the remaining sugar and almonds over top of batter.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes until cake is golden brown.
